Temperature: 20°C–35°C. Conditions: Hot with afternoon thunderstorms in the interior; warm and humid along the east coast. Best for: Kruger National Park wildlife, Cape Town beaches and the Garden Route.

Temperature: 15°C–28°C. Conditions: Mild and dry across most of the country; ideal travelling weather. Best for: Winelands in Stellenbosch, whale watching along the Western Cape coast.
